Soon you may be able to self-measure many of the vital data about your own body that previously required a visit to the doctor. Anytime, anywhere and with a small and well-designed gadget to fit in your pants pocket.
It is the vision behind the Scanadu Scout that measures heart rate, body temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation in the blood, all from an adorable meter that simply has to be pressed against the temp for a few seconds.
And now the small pocket doctor, who is at the prototype stage so far, has landed in Denmark. Innovation consultant Thomas Saabye Noer has got his fingers in one of the first Scouts, and he has visited DR , where Harddiskens Anders Høeg Nissen laid his forehead for the small appliance.
